Having taken off from running for about 5-6 months i guess it was time to get back into it. this race seamed like a good place to start, the race starts with a hard uphill for 1 1/2 miles  i started a little fast for my conditioning and had to quickly back off as i felt the lactic acid starting to build, i held it together till the top and was in 6th or 7th place, the downhills felt good and i kept it easy to try and get my legs back, i kept about a 7:00 pace till about mile 5 then my lack of training started to show, i had to slow some and a few people passed me, normally a 10 miler would be a piece of cake, but the last 4 i had to fight to keep things going, The mind says you can do this but the body says you havent put in the work or the training, some how i kept things going but slowed the pace to about 7:30 per mile for the last 4 miles, I finished in 10th place at 1;14:54  I can see that if i want to get back to where i was it is going to take a lot of work,
